The search continues with increased intensity for the 33-year-old doctor, Alexis Tsikopoulos, who has been missing since Sunday, December 7, 2025, in Crete.

Volunteers from the Search and Rescue Team OFKATH, consisting of 16 rescuers from Athens and Thessaloniki, with dogs and drones, are expected to assist in the search.

The head of the team, Christos Ramos, stated that the search will last 4 days. The volunteers will be divided into four groups and will comb the area with the help of the Chania Hunting Club and other organizations.

The doctor's car was found in the area of Fre Chania. His mother reported that the car had a malfunction. His father, whom he called shortly before disappearing, traveled from Thessaloniki to Crete after his son told him he was not feeling well.

The authorities' investigations (Police and EMAK) are ongoing, with police examining reports from citizens who claimed to have seen the missing doctor.
