Emma Karyotaki Case Reopened: Passenger to Stand Trial in Fatal Thessaloniki Accident

The case of the fatal traffic accident in Thessaloniki, where 21-year-old Emma Karyotaki lost her life in November 2022, is being reopened. Following the driver's conviction for dangerous driving, leaving the scene of an accident, and driving without a license, with a sentence of 16 years and 6 months, the passenger is now being brought to trial.

Initially, the passenger had been acquitted of the charge of complicity, however, the judicial authorities are now accusing her of harboring a criminal, according to ERT. Emma Karyotaki's family is seeking justice.

The driver of the vehicle had been found guilty of dangerous driving, leaving the scene of an accident, and driving without a license.
