Police Operation at AUTH: 48 Detentions

A police operation by the Hellenic Police (EL.AS.) took place at the Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) shortly after midnight. According to reports, 48 people were detained.

The operation occurred after a call for a film screening, with the university authorities having banned any events on the AUTH premises following recent incidents.

Forces from MAT, OPKE, the State Security, and Immediate Action participated in the operation. Official announcements are expected from EL.AS. and the university authorities.
