Police Operation in Aspropyrgos After Shooting Incident

The Hellenic Police (ELAS) conducted an operation in the Nea Zoi area of Aspropyrgos, following a serious shooting incident between Roma and expatriates from the former Soviet Union.
According to reports, at least 40 shots were fired during the incidents, causing damage to a car and nearby houses. The operation involved police officers from the Directorate of Crime Prosecution and Investigation and the Directorate for Combating Organized Crime.
So far, 17 people have been arrested for various offenses, while investigations are ongoing. The incident began after a vehicle chase involving Roma pursuing expatriates, escalating into a brawl and culminating in a shooting at the expatriates' company.
