Evros: Investigation into Destination of Weapons Carried by Turks

In Evros, authorities are investigating to identify the final recipient of a weapons shipment carried by Turkish nationals. According to the Hellenic Police (EL.AS.), they had information about the impending transfer and set up an ambush, arresting 13 people, including 7 men and 6 women, including a 14-year-old girl and two infants.

Police estimate that the weapons were intended for members of Turkish organizations operating in Greece. The detainees deny the charges, but authorities are considering the possibility that some were unknowingly used as a 'front' for the transfer.
