Folegandros: Garifalia's Killer Seeks Leniency

The case of Garifalia's murder in Folegandros has returned to the Aegean Court of Appeal in Syros, five years after the crime. The accused is seeking leniency, while in the first instance, he was sentenced to life imprisonment for homicide in a calm psychological state.
Garifalia's mother, Alexandra Makou, criticized the request, emphasizing that the perpetrator has not apologized and was aware of his actions. The trial was adjourned and will continue on Friday, November 7, with the presence of psychiatrists and forensic experts.
