The Mixed Jury Court of Appeal in Athens found a police officer guilty of human trafficking, domestic violence, and illegal possession of weapons in the Helioupoli trafficking case. His co-defendant, known as 'Daniel', was also found guilty.

The police officer was sentenced to 4 years and 4 months in prison, while 'Daniel' received a 9-year and 6-month sentence. The officer's sentence was not commuted, but he was released due to time served.

The court accepted the prosecutor's proposal to grant both defendants a mitigating circumstance of good behavior after the act, while rejecting the mitigating circumstance of prior lawful life for the police officer.

In the first instance, the police officer had been sentenced to 5.5 years in prison, while 'Daniel' was sentenced to 12 years for human trafficking and drug trafficking.
