Heraklion: 74-year-old in hospital after being beaten by his son

A serious family incident occurred in Heraklion on New Year's Day, with a 74-year-old man injured by his 33-year-old son inside his home.

Neighbors notified the Police, who intervened immediately. The elderly man was transported by EKAV ambulance to the hospital for medical care. According to reports, his son allegedly hit him with his hands.

Although the 74-year-old did not want to press charges, the procedure was initiated ex officio by the Authorities due to domestic violence, and the 33-year-old was arrested. The police are investigating the incident.
