Heraklion: Car Crashes into Mini Market – 'He Wanted to Kill Me,' Says Owner

Tension arose in Heraklion when a 47-year-old driver crashed his car into a mini market. According to the owner, the driver hit her before ramming the store.
Mrs. Maria, speaking to protothema.gr, stated that the driver entered the store asking for a sandwich and, for no apparent reason, began to become aggressive. After an argument, the 47-year-old allegedly hit her and then drove the car into the mini market.
'He did it on purpose, he wanted to kill me. He said it publicly,' Mrs. Maria stated. She added that the car broke the glass facade and caused damage, while a delivery driver narrowly escaped injury, as his moped stopped the vehicle's momentum.
The owner reported that the driver was summarily tried and sentenced to 18 months suspended. She intends to take legal action for damages.
According to Mrs. Maria, the 47-year-old had consumed alcohol and tranquilizers. 'He had come to take revenge on us,' she claimed.
