Heraklion: Students Arrested for Schoolyard Explosion

Three minors have been arrested in Heraklion, Crete, for constructing and detonating an explosive device in a junior high schoolyard. Their parents were also arrested for neglect of supervision of a minor.
According to police, the students watched instructions for building homemade explosive devices on social media and proceeded to construct their own. The device was placed on school grounds Monday night and detonated, causing an explosion without injuries or property damage.
The device consisted of gas canisters, a bottle of alcohol, and a flare.
