Heraklion: Video of School Explosion, Students Charged

Video footage has emerged showing the moment of detonation of an improvised explosive device at a school in Heraklion, Crete. The three students, aged 14-17, who were arrested in connection with the case, have been given time to respond to the charges.
The video, published by cretalive.gr, shows the minors detonating the device and moving away in time. According to reports, the students had seen related videos on TikTok and wanted to experiment.
The students face criminal charges for causing an explosion that could endanger people and for manufacturing and possessing explosive materials. Their guardians were also arrested for neglect of supervision of minors.
The incident occurred on the evening of March 9th. Police collected two butane vials, remnants of a spirit vial, remnants of a firecracker, and insulating tape from the explosion site.
