California: Jewelry Store Robbery Nets €1.4 Million in 70 Seconds

A gang of robbers stormed a jewelry store in California and stole jewelry worth €1.4 million in just 70 seconds. The video of the robbery, released by the US Department of Justice, shows the organization of the group, which consisted of approximately 20 masked individuals.
The robbery took place in June 2025 at the Kumar jewelry store in Fremont. The robbers, using hammers and chisels, smashed the display cases and grabbed 75%-80% of the merchandise. According to the New York Post, their loot exceeded €1.4 million.
Authorities described the robbery as a "mafia-style takeover." The robbers fled in stolen cars, making it difficult to track them down. However, police arrested four young men, aged 19-20, during a chase. Two of them were released, and the case has not yet gone to trial.
The video of the robbery was also published by the East Bay Times newspaper.
