Kalliakmanis: 'The child was abused, the mother is not convincing' regarding 3-year-old's death

Serious questions have been raised by Giorgos Kalliakmanis, honorary president of the Hellenic Police Officers Association, regarding the circumstances surrounding the death of the three-year-old in Faliro. He argues that the child was abused and that the mother's explanations are unconvincing.
Speaking on ERTNews, Mr. Kalliakmanis referred to case file evidence and testimonies, highlighting the presence of visible injuries and bruises on the child's body. He also expressed doubts about the mother's claim that the child was injured in the bathroom, considering it unlikely that such serious injuries could have occurred without her noticing.
Mr. Kalliakmanis also mentioned testimonies claiming that the mother led the child to the sea, having covered her injuries, and pushed her into deeper waters, ruling out the possibility of an accident due to the absence of rocks or obstacles in the area.
Mr. Kalliakmanis questioned whether the abuse came from the mother or from someone else who may be covering for or guiding her. He also referred to the older children in the family, eyewitnesses to the incident, noting the difficulty they may have in speaking out.
In conclusion, Mr. Kalliakmanis stated that the port authorities' efforts to reconstruct the events before the woman reached the sea are unconvincing, due to the way the mother is trying to explain her actions.
