Kefalonia: 23-year-old found dead in the sea after car plunge

A 23-year-old man tragically died in Kefalonia early Friday morning when his car plunged into the sea from a cliff on the Skala-Poros road.

A man in a boat spotted the submerged vehicle and alerted authorities. The Fire Department and the Volunteer Emergency Response Team of Eleios Pronon recovered the young man, but it was too late.

The circumstances of the tragedy remain unknown. The local community is shocked by the sudden loss of the 23-year-old.
