Kiato: Police Operation at Retired Officer's Home – Video

A retired Air Force officer and his wife were arrested in Kiato during a Hellenic Police (ELAS) operation. More than 100 weapons and thousands of rounds of ammunition were found at their home.

The man allegedly had set up an illegal workshop for converting weapons and reloading cartridges. Among the weapons found were military rifles. According to ERT, the arrested man stated that he is a collector.

ERTNews obtained video footage from the ELAS operation on Papanikoli Street in Kiato, where the retired officer was hiding the weapons and ammunition. Official announcements from the Hellenic Police are expected.
