Kifisia: Arrest for Antiquities Trafficking and Domestic Violence

A 50-year-old businessman, the former partner of a well-known actress, has been arrested in Kifisia for antiquities trafficking. The arrest followed a search by the Hellenic Police (EL.AS.) of his home, where fragments of ancient amphorae were found and confiscated.

Specifically, four fragments of underwater amphorae from the Hellenistic period, four from the Byzantine period, and two from the Modern period were confiscated.

The arrested man has been previously convicted of domestic violence, following a complaint by the actress.

A case file has been opened against him for embezzlement and violation of the law on the protection of antiquities.
