Komotini: Dog Found Hanged from Tree

A citizen in Komotini, Greece, discovered a horrifying scene, finding a dog hanged from a tree.

The citizen approached and confirmed that the dog was already dead. They informed an animal welfare organization, which contacted the Municipality for identification and collection/burial procedures, according to xronos.gr.

The dog was found dead on a plot of land between Komotini and Kosmio, near the parallel road of the Egnatia Odos.

It has not yet been clarified whether the dog was stray or owned. The ELAS (Hellenic Police) will be informed about the incident.
