Larissa: New Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever Case in Doctor

A new case of Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever has been detected in Larissa. The patient is a 54-year-old doctor who had contact with the 70-year-old farmer from Elassona, who died from the disease a few days ago.
The doctor is hospitalized in isolation at the University Hospital of Larissa, having developed a fever. EODY has begun tracing the farmer's contacts, dividing them into risk categories. Medium and high-risk contacts will be monitored for 14 days.
EODY is expected to disinfect the livestock unit from the beginning of next week. The disease manifests with symptoms such as fever, chills, headache and muscle pain, while in about 85% of cases it may be asymptomatic.
