Mexico: Canadian Tourist Killed in Shooting at Teotihuacan Pyramids

A hostage situation at the Teotihuacan pyramids in Mexico ended tragically. A gunman opened fire in the archaeological site, killing a Canadian tourist and injuring several visitors.
The incident occurred today when the gunman entered the archaeological site, located approximately 40 kilometers northeast of Mexico City. According to Mexican media, the perpetrator then committed suicide on top of the Pyramid of the Moon.
Several visitors were injured while trying to escape, three of them seriously. The motives of the perpetrator remain unknown. The area has been cordoned off by authorities.
