Montana: Man Charged with Four Counts of Murder in Bar Shooting

Michael Paul Brown, 45, faces four counts of murder following a shooting at a bar in Anaconda, Montana. According to CNN, Brown, a military veteran, allegedly killed a bartender and three patrons at The Owl Bar on August 1st.
After the shooting, Brown fled and was on the run for seven days. Authorities apprehended him on August 8th in an empty building near a highway. The search involved helicopters and drones.
Brown's motive remains unknown, but his niece stated that he suffers from mental illness. Following the murders, Brown allegedly stole a truck, which he abandoned near the location of his arrest. Authorities are investigating whether he had any accomplices during his flight.
Justice Department spokesman Chase Sewell stated that the investigation is ongoing. Brown is scheduled to appear in court on September 3rd and is being held on a $2 million bond.
