Nafplio: 9-Year Sentences for Fatal Beating - Video

The Mixed Jury Court of Corinth sentenced two individuals to 9 years in prison for fatal bodily harm by joint action, regarding the brutal beating of a man in Nafplio in June 2024. The victim died after a long hospitalization.

Initially, the defendants were referred for attempted intentional homicide, but the charge was not converted to intentional homicide, leading to a more favorable criminal treatment. The court rejected requests for recognition of mitigating circumstances.

Security camera footage captured the attack. Medical documents showed a five-centimeter hole in the victim's skull, possibly from brass knuckles.

The defendants remain in prison as the court rejected the request to suspend the appeal.
