A 38-year-old man was arrested by police in Nea Erythraia early Sunday morning for drunk driving and resisting arrest.

According to police sources, the 38-year-old, brother of a well-known television presenter, initially overtook a police vehicle by crossing a double dividing line on Eleftheriou Venizelou Avenue.

When police signaled him to stop for inspection, he did not comply, resulting in a chase. The vehicle was stopped at the intersection of Eleftheriou Venizelou Avenue and Karastamati Alexaki Street.

During the inspection, the 38-year-old allegedly pushed a police officer and threw his service ID card on the ground. He underwent a breathalyzer test, which showed 0.66mg/l.

He faces charges of drunk driving and "violence against employees".
