Dick Van Dyke, just days after celebrating his 100th birthday, has expressed his dismay at the murder of Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele.

The actor's wife, Arlene Silver, described the emotional distress they both experienced following reports of the homicide. Rob Reiner and his wife were found dead at their home in Los Angeles on Sunday, December 14th.

According to TMZ, the director and his wife had neck injuries, suggesting an attack with a sharp object. The couple's daughter reportedly discovered the bodies and notified the authorities, indicating a relative as a possible perpetrator.

The Los Angeles Police Department has filed charges against Nick Reiner, Rob Reiner's son, for the murder of his parents. Nick Reiner faces two counts of first-degree murder and is also charged with using a deadly weapon.

Arlene Silver noted that Rob Reiner had known Dick Van Dyke since adolescence, as Rob's father, Carl Reiner, was the creator of 'The Dick Van Dyke Show'.
