Palaio Faliro: New Evidence in Child's Death – Mother Changes Testimony

The mother of the 3-year-old girl found dead on a beach in Palaio Faliro is being brought before the prosecutor. The forensic report reveals indications of criminal activity, according to forensic pathologist Dimitris Galenteris.
Water and sand were found in the child's lungs, indicating drowning on a beach. The forensic pathologist pointed out a discrepancy between the findings and the mother's statements, who claims the child hit herself in the bathroom and lost consciousness.
In addition, injuries were found on the child's face that are not related to the mechanism of death. A chronic pathology of the child is also being examined.
The mother changed her testimony, now claiming that the child slipped and fell into the sea. She had initially stated that the child had hit herself at home and appeared to be asleep when she took her to the beach.
The child's father has been arrested in the past for robbery, drugs, and domestic violence. The mother had been reported in 2022 for endangering a minor.
Police are searching for the child's father.
