The 32-year-old Algerian mother has been remanded in custody following a prosecutor and investigator's decision regarding the death of her minor daughter, who was found dead on a beach in Palaio Faliro. The mother is accused of causing the death of her daughter, whom she allegedly abandoned on Edem beach.

The mother denies the charges, claiming that the child was already dead from an accident at home. In her testimony, she stated that Jenna hit herself in the bathroom and lost consciousness. "I thought Jenna was dead, I panicked," she said.

The mother's lawyers dispute the forensic report and await histological and forensic examinations to determine whether the injuries were pre-mortem or post-mortem.

According to the police, a bag was found near the 32-year-old's home containing the dress she was wearing, her other children's clothes, and a tram ticket. A broken hairbrush and a blister pack of anxiety medication were also found.

In 2020, the 32-year-old crossed into Greece from Turkey with her husband. Her three children were born in Greece in public hospitals. Her husband was deported in 2023.

The investigation revealed that the minor had broken her two front teeth, which is also confirmed by the forensic report. Two blood stains were found in the woman's apartment.
