Kyriaki's Father: "If everything was done right, who protected my daughter?"

Thanasis Grivas, the father of Kyriaki Grivas, spoke on the ERTNews show "Connections" after the life sentence of his daughter's murderer outside the Agioi Anargyroi police station.
Mr. Grivas described the trial, saying they saw the murderer daily, who showed no remorse. "The only thing he said at the last moment was that he wished Kyriaki was here, next to me."
"I want women and girls to speak up, not to be afraid of anyone, not to mourn another victim. I want Kyriaki to be the voice of weak women," he emphasized.
Referring to the perpetrator's motive, he said that he wanted to make her his property. He also lashed out against the perpetrator's mother, considering her jointly responsible.
Regarding the perpetrator's attitude in court, he said that he was playing a role with lawyers' instructions, but he trusted Greek justice.
Mr. Grivas questioned the responsibilities of the police: "If everything was done right, where is Kyriaki and who protected her?" he said, while awaiting another trial for the responsibilities of the police authorities.
