Patras: Tax Office Drone Scam Targeting Jewelry
A woman in Patras was the victim of a scam when a fraudster, posing as her accountant, informed her by phone that her jewelry was undeclared and that a Tax Office drone was flying over her house to record it.
According to tempo24.news, the scammer convinced the woman that to avoid the consequences, she would have to register her jewelry. Subsequently, an accomplice appeared at her home, and the woman handed over jewelry worth ā¬10,000, which the perpetrator grabbed and disappeared.
The victim filed a complaint against unknown persons with the Patras Security Police, which is conducting investigations to identify the perpetrators.
