An oxidized Italian World War II shell was discovered in Pefki after children found it while playing and took it to their parents. The incident occurred on the afternoon of March 25th at a construction site.

According to a local resident, the children discovered the shell in a plot of land near the site. Initially, the parents did not believe the children, so they carried the shell by hand to show them.

Traffic on Demokratias Street, from the height of Salaminos Street, was blocked by the Hellenic Police (EL.AS.). The neutralization of the shell is expected to take place on the morning of Thursday (26/3) by the Army's Land Mine Disposal Department (TENX).

A local resident reported that the children's parents, after the incident, said "let's go light candles at the church," while he added, "I was scared. I pass by there every day."
