Preveza: 16-year-old Seriously Injured by Shotgun Discharge

A 16-year-old in Preveza is fighting for his life after being seriously injured in the head by a shotgun discharge.

According to epiruspost.gr, the minor secretly took his father's shotgun to hunt birds in the yard of his house. Under unclear circumstances, he slipped, and the gun discharged, seriously injuring him.

The 16-year-old is hospitalized in critical condition at the University Hospital of Ioannina. His father was arrested for negligent safekeeping of the weapon but was released by order of a prosecutor. A preliminary investigation is being conducted by the police.
