The "Greek Escobar" has been granted an extension until Thursday to provide his testimony, following a lengthy deposition at the Piraeus Prosecutor's Office. The prosecution involves a total of five individuals.

The charges they face include establishing and leading a criminal organization, drug trafficking, and money laundering. According to reports, they were led to the investigator and left the Piraeus courthouse under heavy security.

The drug-carrying vessel, a fishing boat of Greek interests flying a Polish flag, departed from Nea Michaniona, traveled to Latin America where it loaded a large quantity of cocaine, and was returning to Europe. Its journey was intercepted in the Atlantic, near Venezuela, following an operation by the DEA, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the French Navy.

The vessel has been towed to a port in Martinique, where the cargo will be counted, estimated to exceed 4 tons.
