Skydra: Confession in the Murder of a 72-Year-Old

A 76-year-old man confessed to the murder of a 72-year-old villager, who had been reported missing, in Skydra. The victim had been missing for a week from the village of Dafni.

According to protothema.gr, the 76-year-old initially contradicted himself in his statement to the police. Eventually, he confessed that he shot the victim with a hunting weapon, hit him with the car, tied up the body, and abandoned it in a landfill.

The perpetrator reportedly told the authorities that he did it because he thought the 72-year-old had stolen from his field. Police located the body at the location indicated by the perpetrator.

The victim's moped had been found in a nearby field, with traces of blood. The disappearance of the 72-year-old had been reported by his relatives.
