Suburban Train Collides with Car in Patras: Material Damage

A traffic accident occurred in Patras when a suburban train collided with a car at the intersection of Athinon and Pente Pigadion streets on Saturday afternoon.

According to pelop.gr, the barrier at the railway crossing was down, but the driver attempted to turn. The train driver braked, but the collision was unavoidable.

The car suffered severe material damage, as did part of the train's engine. Fortunately, the three occupants of the vehicle were not injured. The causes of the accident are under investigation.
