Two Arrested for Fire Caused by Fireworks in Koropi

Authorities have arrested two men, aged 42 and 52, for causing a fire near a forest area in Koropi, due to the use of fireworks. The arrest was made by officers of the Fire Investigation Department (DAEE).

The fire occurred on August 31, 2025, a day when the Fire Risk Index was 3, classified as "high risk." The arrested individuals were also fined an administrative penalty of 2,166 euros.
