Six Arrested for Various Offenses in Thessaloniki

Police in Thessaloniki have arrested six individuals for various offenses during daily patrols and investigations.

Among those arrested is a 17-year-old who, along with accomplices, forcibly stole small amounts of money from a group of minors in Evosmos. The 53-year-old father was also arrested for neglect of juvenile supervision.

Additionally, officers from the Kalamaria Crime Detection and Investigation Department arrested a 19-year-old against whom an arrest warrant was pending from the Thessaloniki Court of First Instance for aggravated theft.

Motorcycle officers from the DIAS team arrested a 30-year-old foreigner in the KTEL area, as a bag containing 1,545 grams of unprocessed dried tobacco and 10 packs of cigarettes without the Public Revenue's special consumption tax strip were found and confiscated in his possession.

Furthermore, Thessaloniki Traffic Police officers arrested two men, aged 24 and 22, on the inner ring road at the Evosmos junction, who were driving at excessive speeds, recorded at 179 km/h instead of 80 km/h.

The arrested individuals will be led to the competent prosecutor.
