Arrest in Liosion Hit-and-Run Case: False Theft Report Filed

The driver who hit and abandoned a 16-year-old girl in Liosion has been arrested. Those involved had reported a false theft of the motorcycle to mislead the authorities.

According to police, three people were arrested for false statements and harboring a criminal. The driver, a Sudanese national, had previously been involved with the authorities for other offenses.

The case began when the motorcycle theft was reported. A man later appeared, confessing that he was a passenger and that they abandoned the injured 16-year-old. The girl is hospitalized in critical condition in the ICU of KAT hospital with craniocerebral injuries.

The arrested individuals are accused of false testimony, false reporting, and violation of obligations in the event of a traffic accident.
