Priest Arrested for Arson in Markopoulo: Confession and Security Cameras

A priest has been arrested and confessed to starting a fire in a forest area in Markopoulo. His identification was made through security cameras.
According to protothema.gr, the priest was forced to confess to his act, as his car and movements were recorded by security cameras of a nearby villa. When asked about his motives, he claimed he wanted to burn documents related to the Sinai scandal, as he was the secretary of ISKE seven years ago.
However, his explanations did not convince the authorities, as he could have burned the documents on a clear dirt road near the spot. Instead, he chose to place them inside a bush in a forest area. The fire started with a lighter and spread to the forest, but was quickly extinguished by residents.
