Polish National Arrested for Espionage at Souda Bay

A Polish national has been arrested by police in Souda Bay, Crete, on charges of espionage. According to authorities, the man allegedly photographed ships at the naval base and sent the material to Poland.
The arrested man denies the charges and was residing in a mobile home. Police have confiscated his mobile phone and other electronic devices for examination.
The arrest comes just days after the arrest of a Georgian national on similar charges. It is also reported that the Polish man tried to book a room in the same hotel where an Azerbaijani national, who was arrested in June for espionage, had stayed.
