Fatal Accident in Patision: Driver Hits and Kills Pedestrian

A 28-year-old has been arrested for manslaughter after a fatal traffic accident on Patision Street. According to the Hellenic Police (ELAS), shortly after midnight on Thursday, the 28-year-old driver hit a 74-year-old pedestrian with his motorcycle at the intersection of Patision Street and Troias Street.

The 74-year-old was taken to "Evangelismos" hospital, where she died. The driver's breathalyzer test showed 0.58 mg of alcohol per liter of exhaled air, exceeding the legal limit of 0.25 mg/lt. The Traffic Police are conducting a preliminary investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
