Thessaloniki: 29-Year-Old in Psychiatric Clinic After Unlawful Acts

A 29-year-old man from Thessaloniki is hospitalized in a psychiatric clinic following a series of unlawful acts. The man was arrested in the Stavroupoli area.

According to the police, the 29-year-old stole a car from Asprovalta and drove it to Stavroupoli. There, he attempted to break into a clinic at the Psychiatric Hospital of Thessaloniki. He then argued with citizens, stole a bicycle, and threatened a father and daughter to steal their car.

During his arrest by police officers from the DIAS and OPKE teams, the 29-year-old resisted strongly. Sharp objects were found in his possession.

The police announcement states that the man faces charges of theft, attempted theft, damage to property, disobedience, and violation of the law on weapons.
