Thessaloniki: 57-year-old Jailed for Harassment of Minor

A 57-year-old man was sentenced to imprisonment by the Three-Member Misdemeanor Court of Thessaloniki for indecent assault against a minor, who was a friend of his daughter. The incident occurred in June 2024 outside of Thessaloniki.

According to the complaint, the 57-year-old called the minor, under the age of 15, and offered to introduce her to a friend of his, 19 years older than her, via Facebook. The minor confided in her father, who reported the incident to the police.

The 57-year-old claimed it was a joke and immaturity, citing psychological problems. The court upheld the original prison sentence of 2 years, without suspension.
