Thessaloniki: 80-year-old woman dies in apartment fire

Tragedy in Thessaloniki, where an 80-year-old woman lost her life in a fire that broke out in her apartment on Pelopos 9 street.

The fire broke out at 23:50. According to initial estimates, it started in the bedroom. Firefighters, during the extinguishing operation, discovered the body of the 80-year-old, who had suffered burns.

Twelve firefighters with five vehicles participated in the extinguishing operation. The causes of the fire are being investigated by the Fire Department's investigation unit.
