Thessaloniki: 29-year-old arrested for rape of minor in Cyprus

A 29-year-old wanted by Cypriot authorities has been arrested in Thessaloniki. A European arrest warrant was pending against him for sexual abuse of a minor.

According to the prosecution documents, the 29-year-old is accused of rape and sexual acts with a minor under the age of 12, offenses allegedly committed in July 2022 in Ayia Napa.

The arrested man is being led to the Prosecutor's Office of the Court of Appeal of Thessaloniki to begin the process of his extradition to Cyprus.
