Thessaloniki: Arrest for illegal dumping of debris in public space

In Thessaloniki, a 31-year-old was arrested for illegally dumping bulky waste in a public space. The suspect was located in western Thessaloniki, at the intersection of Roxanis and Petrou Ermiti streets, while attempting to dump 26 bags of debris.
According to the Hellenic Police (ELAS), an additional 26 bags of debris and scrap metal were found in the vehicle's truck bed. Police report that the uncontrolled dumping caused pollution and environmental degradation.
The arrested individual will be led to the competent Prosecutor.
The General Police Directorate of Thessaloniki points out that the area at the western entrance of the city, at the intersection of Roxanis and Petrou Ermiti streets, is a frequent target for illegal dumping of debris.
