Thessaloniki: EYATH Workers Injured in Pipeline Burst

In Thessaloniki, a EYATH pipeline burst during maintenance work, injuring four workers. One worker was thrown into the air and taken to the hospital with a leg fracture.
The accident occurred on Agiou Dimitriou Street, while workers were attempting to repair a fault in the pipeline. Residents reported hearing a loud noise followed by an explosion-like sound.
EYATH stated that the accident was caused by a rupture in a section of the pipeline used to remove air from the network. An investigation into the circumstances of the accident has been launched.
