Thebes: 72-year-old found dead on hospital roof

Shock in Thebes after a 72-year-old man was found dead on the roof of the city's hospital.

The man had been missing since Saturday and was found in an advanced state of decomposition by a cleaning crew.

According to e-sterea, the 72-year-old had visited the emergency room of Thebes General Hospital on 26/07/2025. Police speculate that he lost his way and ended up on the roof, where he died.

The body was transferred to the forensic service for autopsy, while the Boeotia Police Department is investigating the incident.
