In Limanakia, Vouliagmeni, a 34-year-old diver lost his life attempting to explore the 'Devil's Well', an underwater cave with negative flow.

The 'Devil's Well' is considered one of the most dangerous diving spots in Attica. It is located at a depth of 11 meters and forms a cylindrical 'well' that descends vertically to 28.5 meters.

Antonis Grafas, an experienced diver who has mapped the cave, describes the entrance as very narrow (1 meter high and 1.5 meters wide) with strong underwater currents. Bubbles from the divers' exhalation are swept into the bowels of the cave.

In 1978, three Americans lost their lives attempting to explore the same spot.
