Tragedy in Chania: 27-Year-Old Dies in VOAK Car Accident

A 27-year-old man has tragically died in a car accident on the Northern Road Axis of Crete (VOAK), near Chania.
Giorgos K., originally from Marousi, Attica, lost his life when his car veered off course at Tavronitis, Chania, while heading to the port of Souda to pick up his parents. The vehicle collided with a guardrail, resulting in his fatal injury.
According to reports, the 27-year-old was ejected from the vehicle. An ambulance from EKAV immediately arrived at the scene, but paramedics could not save him. The commander of the VOAK traffic police, Eleni Papathanasiou, appealed to drivers to observe speed limits and take necessary safety measures.
