Tragedy in Kozani: 28-year-old dies in car accident

A fatal car accident occurred early Sunday morning at the 3rd kilometer of the Kozani-Larissa National Road, near the airport. A car, under unclear circumstances, veered off course, crashed into the side barriers, and ended up off the road.

The victim is a 28-year-old from Polymylos Kozani, who was the driver of the vehicle. According to Kozanimedia, the young man was returning from a wedding reception when he lost control of his vehicle.

Passing drivers and airport workers notified the Police. Two vehicles from the Fire Department and an ambulance from EKAV arrived at the scene. The exact causes of the accident are being investigated by the Kozani Traffic Police.
