Trikala: 18-Year-Old Confesses to Matricide – 'She Neglected Me'

Shock in Trikala after an 18-year-old confessed to the matricide of his 54-year-old mother. The crime took place inside the woman's house, where the perpetrator suffocated her with a towel.

According to reports, the 18-year-old allegedly told the police that his mother neglected him, frequently changed partners, and he considered her responsible for his parents' divorce. "I always wanted to kill my mother," he reportedly said.

The 18-year-old called the police after his act and was arrested. He is expected to appear before the judicial authorities today.

Relatives and neighbors express shock at the tragic incident. They describe the 18-year-old as a quiet child who, however, often had disagreements with his mother.
