Volos: Parents Tortured Their Children – Beating and Spitting in Their Food

Shocking revelations have come to light in Volos, where two children suffered horrific abuse at the hands of their own parents. According to gegonota.news, the parents were convicted by the Volos Single-Member Misdemeanor Court for domestic bodily harm and exposure of minors.

According to the indictment, the 9-year-old son was beaten with a whip, fly swatter, and slippers. The 7-year-old daughter testified that her parents neglected her, deprived her of food and personal hygiene, and even deprived them of water, demanding they pay for it.

A schoolteacher testified that the 36-year-old father spat in his son's food. The principal of the school, where four of the couple's six children attend, reported the situation to the Prosecutor for Minors. The children expressed their desire not to return home due to the mistreatment.

The parents denied the charges, claiming the children were lying. The court was not convinced and sentenced the 31-year-old mother to three years in prison with suspension and the 36-year-old father to 18 months in prison with suspension.
